Oh yes, a day out at the EQ Village Markets is delightful and indeed, somewhere to spoil oneself silly on food.
Beautiful produce! That French salumi looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI've always been curious about these markets and wondered if they were any good. I like the look of the mint & lychee drink; and who can go past a gozleme (not me)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic day at the market! Love how you end your post with gozleme :)
ReplyDeleteIs the Ethiopian food stall still there? Eating there was an absolute revelation. Incredible food.
ReplyDeleteHi lateraleating - Yes, it's a chewy, rustic style one :) Yummy
ReplyDeleteHi MissPiggy - The gozleme was SO good! I hadn't had one in ages...
Hi Ellie - Just how I ended my day ;)
Hi Jobe - Afraid not. That would have been interesting. I've only had African food once, at Camden markets in London...
I thought it's a great place to seek out a wonderful range of fruit and vegetables, free range poultry, game and meats, farm-fresh eggs, cheeses and dairy. Plus the idea that most delectables can now found all in one place is such a great relief.
ReplyDeleteThe tiger lilies are a bargain, what's more they're gorgeous and last for ages.
ReplyDeleteHi Jayson - Yes, there's great variety there :)
ReplyDeleteHi chopinandmysaucepan - They are a great price, aren't they?
